University of Auckland Bachelors/PG Diploma/Masters Degree Deadline: 1 April/21 Oct 2026 (Annual) Study in: New Zealand Course starts 2026 Brief description: The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship aims to attract new international students of high caliber to enroll in undergraduate or postgraduate taught study of 1 year or more at the University of Auckland. Host Institution(s): University of Auckland Level/Field(s) of study: Bachelors, Postgraduate Diploma or Masters (taught) degrees in any subject Number of Scholarships: 50 Target group: International students Scholarship value/inclusions: Up to 50 Scholarships will be awarded bi-annually with each scholarship valued at up to $10,000, for postgraduate and undergraduate study. Eligibility: To be eligible for Scholarship consideration, an applicant must: • be an international student • be either a new student who has received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission, or an English Language Academy (ELA) student who has received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission, or a student enrolled, or enrolling, in the Summer Start International programme who has received a conditional or unconditional offer of admission and • be enrolled, or enrolling, full-time in either a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) or masters degree, or an undergraduate degree. A grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 is required for Scholarship consideration. See the complete list of elibility requirements at the scholarship regulations handbook (link found below). Application instructions: Scholarship applications will usually open around 6 weeks before the closing date. The application deadline is 1 April 2026 for studies commencing Semester 2/Quarter 3/Quarter 4 intakes and was 21 October 2026 for studies commencing in Semester 1/Quarter 1/Quarter 2 intake.
